Spending a snowy Sunday afternoon in front of the fire developing logistics plans and list upon list of action items that need to be completed for the row. Excited that I have purchased the rowing shell for the adventure. It will be delivered in early March. It will be important to get rowing time on the water before the May 1 Miami start date. Announced the Miami 2 NYC row to friends and colleagues this past week and received great encouragement and support for the JPMHC!!! 78 days and counting!
My row starts in 86 days. It will last 50 days. Maybe more, maybe less. I will need to train hard leading up to my expected launch date of May 1, 2017 to be ready. I've been training on my Concept 2 erg these last few months, averaging about 8-10 hours per week. I need to find more time to build up to 16 hours, then 20 hours for the next 2 1/2 months backing down to another 12 hours the two weeks leading up to my departure.
