Feeling the pressure of getting on the water to train for the rigors of Miami 2 NYC. Thrilled that Mother Nature is cooperating and has presented the gift of a 64 degree day in February. No better way to prepare for a major row than with a massive stack of pancakes smothered in Maple Guild's amazing steam crafted maple syrup!!! With a properly fueled body I am ready for a 3-hour CT river row. Excitement for the row is building in the community and so I'm thankful for the donors and sponsors who have signed on to benefit the JPMHC.
A seemingly endless 4-hour indoor rowing erg session to prepare for Miami 2 NYC. Thank goodness for headphones and Pandora to fill the void. The best thing about today's training session is that I will need to consume 3000 calories tonight to refuel!!!
Spending a snowy Sunday afternoon in front of the fire developing logistics plans and list upon list of action items that need to be completed for the row. Excited that I have purchased the rowing shell for the adventure. It will be delivered in early March. It will be important to get rowing time on the water before the May 1 Miami start date. Announced the Miami 2 NYC row to friends and colleagues this past week and received great encouragement and support for the JPMHC!!! 78 days and counting!
