Just a quick update to all. I chose this picture of Jim from a couple of years ago only because I think it says a lot about Jim's last days - intense. Jim had one of his toughest days yesterday rowing close to 50 miles, more out of necessity than choice. This included several rough crossings of large bodies of water with swift currents and choppy "seas." He has cleared most of Georgia's remote swampy areas and today will pass Savannah and enter into more populated areas - populated, that is, with more people, and not as much wildlife. We have not be able to post many blogs between his extreme rowing days and my current travels and conference in Seattle. I'm heading to Fort Lauderdale from Seattle this morning and will leave on Sunday to drive from Ft. L. to find Jim somewhere in the Carolinas. We hope to bring you more news soon. Thanks for all the support!
