Tomorrow Jim will have just 15 miles to finish what he started two months ago when he launched his 18' rowing skiff in Miami and began his epic journey to New York City. I will be getting up early to drive to Manhattan where Eliza Lake, executive director of Hilltown Community Health Center, Keith McCormick, and I will board an escort boat captained by Bjoern Kils from Media Boat NY. We will meet Jim in the beautiful New York Harbor just north of the Verrazano Bridge and will follow him during his last strokes homeward. The latest estimate for landing at North Cove Marina in lower Manhattan is 2pm. There Jim will be joined by family and friends for a little champaign celebration. All are welcome. I want to thank everyone who has supported Jim, and me, and most importantly the Hilltown Community Health Center. Though tomorrow is the last day of the row, there will be at a few more blogs to update you on the reentry and the continued fundraising needed to reach goal - a little over $14,000. Please stay tuned.
